We utilise our bespoke 1/4" to 10" mobile test benches, equipped with Class 0.2 pressure transducers for total precision testing.
When a valve is removed from the plant, it is mounted on a test bench for a pre-test, with all results carefully recorded. The pre-test is essential to determine whether the valve would have effectively protected the system and to identify any issues with the valve or the system itself. Additionally, the pre-test can provide valuable insights for establishing a risk-based inspection frequency.
Following inspection and refurbishment, the valve is remounted on the test bench for a final test and setting. All results, including the gauge calibration reference, are documented on the test certificate.
Comprehensive Parts Condition Report
After the pre-test, all valves undergo a meticulous inspection and refurbishment process to restore them to like-new mechanical condition. Each component is thoroughly cleaned, inspected, and its condition is documented on the test/inspection certificate. Any parts that cannot be refurbished to a like-new condition are replaced as necessary.
Each certificate is assigned a unique certificate number and includes comprehensive valve information. The condition of each individual component is documented, along with all pre- and post-test results, including reseat performance. This provides a clear before-and-after insight into the valve’s performance. The certificate is dated and signed off by a competent engineer to ensure accuracy and accountability.
